How is the Hydralox Hydrating Oil different from a regular moisturiser?

A facial oil like the Hydralox Hydrating Oil is different from a moisturiser as it is more occlusive so that the moisture does not evaporate throughout the day. Facial oil is not meant to replace moisturiser, to get the benefit of both, it is best used together as they complement each other. 

 

Does it feel heavy on the skin?

The formula is structurally compatible with the skin’s natural lipids, allowing the facial oil to absorb smoothly without leaving the skin feeling like it's weighed down with heaviness. 

 

Is it safe for sensitive skin?

The Hydralox Hydrating Oil is generally safe as it is well-formulated without any harsh actives. For someone who has more reactive skin, it is recommended to do a patch test behind the ear or on your inner forearm for at least 24 hours for reactions.

Rather than oily and acne-prone skin, the Hydralox Hydrating Oil is generally more suitable for those with dry and mature skin type. As the formula contains some oil types which may be more heavy on oily and combination skin type, it is recommended to proceed cautiously.

Other than the face, it also works well on the neck, lip, cuticle or anywhere else that may experience dryness or flaking. Do apply sparingly as a small amount goes a long way.

 

Is it recommended in the morning or evening?

The Hydralox Hydrating Oil is usually recommended in the evening as the final step to seal in everything while sleeping. It can also be used in the morning if needed especially when travelling to very harsh and brutally cold weather.

 

Can it be used along with other beauty devices or tools?

Yes, the Hydralox Hydrating Oil is perfect when paired along with gua sha, jade rollers or any massaging facial beauty devices or tools. The oil can be used as a lubricant to help with gliding, sculpting and depuffing.

 

Should I store it in the refrigerator?

No, generally it is not recommended to store face oils in the refrigerator as the low temperature can cause the oils to thicken, become cloudy, or even partially solidify. It may alter the texture of the formula and make it difficult to spread smoothly during application.
